CTRM AU was awarded a contract by Lotus Cars UK in December 2005. The contract required the company to manufacture and assemble primed composites body panel for Lotus Europa S. The processes in providing Lotus Cars UK with primed composites body panel include hand laminating, post curing, trimming and priming with surface finishing of composites curved panels.

In recent years, super car industry has seen tremendous technological advancement. Super car manufacturers are resorting to space age technology in producing high performance super car, which is lighter for better performance. Before this, most of them are using the traditional metal or lightweight aluminium for body panel. But now they are opting for the aerospace composites materials for body panels. This new material is lighter and stronger. It also provides design versatility for better aerodynamics and performance.

To date, CTRM AU has delivered a total of 409 car sets of composites body panels for Lotus Europa S to Lotus Cars of UK.
