Langkawi, 3 December 2009: Composites Technology Research Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CTRM) today hands over one unit of Refurbished Cessna Caravan 208 aircraft to Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN). The aircraft belongs to Royal Malaysian Police Air Wing Unit.
Datuk Rosdi Mahmud, Chief Executive Officer of CTRM expressed his gratitude and appreciation to KDN for their confidence in allowing CTRM, through its subsidiary, CTRM Aviation (CTRM AV) to Refurbish one unit of Cessna Caravan 208.
He adds that the Refurbishment Contract would have taken three (3) months to complete. However, as a proven Leading Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Organisation, CTRM AV completed the task in just nine (9) weeks. The Refurbished Cessna Caravan 208 aircraft is showcased at LIMA 2009 for public viewing.
The early delivery is a testament to CTRM AV’s commitment coupled with our status as an Approved Cessna Service Facility in country providing superior services and capabilities in MRO for the General Aviation Sector.
CTRM AV is aggressively marketing its MRO capabilities and Composite Repair Business in this region. Being an Approved Maintenance Organization, we are poised to become a leading Composite Repair Station in South East Asia by the year 2015.
At the handover ceremony, Y Bhg SAC II Dato’ Chua Ghee Lai, Commander of the Royal Malaysian Police Air Wing Unit, receives the aircraft on behalf of KDN from En Abdul Razak Mohamad Zin, Head of Company, CTRM Aviation Sdn Bhd, witnessed by YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister.
