Langkawi, 5 December 2007:
CTRM Aviation Sdn Bhd (CTRM AV) will be collaborated
with AKRIZ Sdn Bhd to develop and manufacture Flight
Training Device (FTD). The computer simulated FTD
will be built and design to train trainee pilots.
Established in 2004, AKRIZ is to provide solutions
for satellite communications and currently offers
a wide range of solutions and services in related
to satellite communications in aerospace and defence.
“AKRIZ has positioned itself as System Integrator
that act not only as technology consultant, but
also to facilitates research and development programmes
and commercialising intellectual properties,”
explained Y Bhg Datuk Rosdi bin Mahmud, Chief Executive
Officer, CTRM.
For the collaboration, both CTRM AV and AKRIZ will
work together to develop Flight Training Device
(FTD) based on the Eagle 150B light aircrafts platform.
The FTD is also aimed to provide flying simulator
for the Young Aviation Programme.
“CTRM will be providing the technical data
and expertise on the Eagle programme, while AKRIZ
will be responsible in developing the software and
acquiring the hardware,” adds Rosdi Mahmud.
Simultaneously, AKRIZ will also perform in-house
research and development to produce innovative and
unique solutions and applications for its clients.
The collaboration will focus so as to facilitate
the provision of information to allow the undertaking
of the development of the above said FTD and all
the necessary studies, innovations and solutions
and to enter into agreement for the commercial development
and implementation of the aforesaid technologies.
Like any other collaborations, the main objective
will be to produce and market the FTD at low cost
in the country and eventually in the region. In
the long term, both parties wish to develop and
manufacture a local hi-fidelity with motion platform
flight simulators.
